Next Match: at home to Hannover 96, November 21 Schalke manager Felix Magath has put his money where his mouth is by investing in the club's future. He has spent an estimated 600,000 euros on shares in the club's Arena AufSchalke from its former general manager Rudi Assauer. The deal, according to Magath, should prove that the club's financial situation is not as drastic as it is often made out to be. "I am buying myself in because I believe in this club," Magath told the Suddeutsche Zeitung newspaper. "And I want to show that by showing my willingness to delve into my own pockets and not just with words and talking. I also think it is an investment which will pay off." |
