Next Match: away to VfL Bochum, February 06 Germany striker Patrick Helmes has become the first victim of Bayer Leverkusen's success. He has complained about his lack of chances since recovering from a serious knee injury and fears for his place in the Germany squad at the World Cup next summer. However, coach Jupp Heynckes has simply told him to remain patient. "It is up to the coach, but all I can say is that I have been fully fit for two or three weeks," Helmes told the Express newspaper. "I am now beginning to worry about the World Cup." Heynckes has stuck with Stefan Kiessling and Eren Derdiyok for his attack since they remain in excellent form, and he is not planning changes. "Pat knows my opinion - the team success comes before everything," he said. |
