Woman refuses to attend sister’s wedding due to major issue with her fiance: ‘I don’t trust him’
A woman is refusing to attend her sister’s wedding because she disapproves of the relationship.
She asked Reddit’s “Am I the A******? (AITA)” forum for help. Her younger sister is marrying an older man with five kids from three different women. She is refusing to attend the wedding, but now her sister is threatening to go no-contact with her.

“My (24F) sister (20F) is marrying a guy with five kids from two different ex-wives and a mistress,” she wrote. “So three women altogether. She says both ex-wives neglected him emotionally, so he isn’t at fault, but… C’mon. She insisted we give him a chance. Myself, my parents and my brother all met him when they first got serious.”
“He is very charming and well-mannered. I’ll give him that. He’s generous with his money, always paying for meals and buying gifts for us. He’ll show up with flowers for me and my mom and a bottle of liquor for my dad, plus some video game or something for our little brother. Even though he’s basically perfect, I don’t trust him. He’s too charming. I also met his kids once. There is something not quite right about them. The oldest two from the first wife are an 11-year-old boy and a 9-year-old girl.”

“They are perfect. They always say please and thank you, and they never interrupt. It’s weird. The kids from the second wife are 5 and 3-year-old girls. The affair baby is a 2-year-old boy. They aren’t as weird as the older kids, but they still unsettle me in a way I can’t explain. My sister asked me to be MoH. I said no and refused to go to the wedding. She asked me why.”
“I said I think she is making a mistake. She told me to point out one time her intended had ever done anything bad or disrespectful that I know of. Well, I couldn’t. She told me I don’t have to be in the wedding party or go to the reception if I don’t want to, but if I don’t at least go to the ceremony, she’ll go NC with me. It seems like such a simple ask, and I know it will cost me nothing. Still, I hate even looking at this guy. I won’t go.”
Redditors thought the fiance raised several red flags.
“The man is 39, your sister is 20; doesn’t she or your parents see anything wrong about this?” a user said.
“So far, you’ve described him love bombing you and your parents,” another wrote.
“She’s in danger,” a person commented.
