TikTok mom's 'banana lollipop' trick is the perfect hack for hungry babies

Mom and TikToker, known online as @everydaypursuitsfam, blew the Internet’s mind when she uploaded her banana lollipop hack. It’s super easy: simply cut the banana in half, take 2 inches off the top, hand it to your baby — and there you have it. Now the baby can enjoy her banana with less mess, and more motor skill practice. As @everydaypursuitsfam explained in the comments of the video, her baby, Luna, started BLW — or baby-led weaning — at 7 months old. Baby-led weaning is defined, simply, as the practice of letting babies feed themselves. According to BabyLedWeaning.com, the one key difference between BLW and traditional weaning is the order in which children learn to eat. “With a puree, they learn to swallow first and then chew, which works fine until they meet a lump. With BLW, the babies learn to chew first and swallowing might come some time later”. And it seems this banana lollipop hack is the perfect fit for BLW babies. With “likes” numbering in the hundreds of thousands, it’s clear this hack is a favorite of parents. “We did BLW so our daughter had solids from 6 months old. We did this so she could hold it easily!” said one user
