TMZ reports that Reynolds suffered a heart attack and passed away at a Florida hospital on Thursday.

Reynolds was known for films including Boogie Nights, for which he was nominated for an Academy Award, Deliverance, The Cannonball Run, and Hooper, in addition to the legendary television series Gunsmoke.
