    A plethora of San Jose Sharks players did not join the team for their final road trip of the year, ending their respective seasons and for a few of them, likely their tenures with the organization. Forwards Kevin Labanc, Mike Hoffman, Filip Zadina, and Alexander Barabanov, forward/defenseman Jacob MacDonald, defenseman Jan Rutta, and goalie Mackenzie Blackwood all did not travel with the Sharks, who face the Edmonton Oilers tonight and the Calgary Flames on Thursday to close the regular season.

    Canadiens Continue to Struggle on Power Play to End 2023-24

    Earlier in 2023-24, one prevailing narrative had been that the Montreal Canadiens had turned a corner on the power play. To be fair, the Canadiens' power play is clicking at 17.6% overall. For some context, the Philadelphia Flyers have the lowest success rate in the league at 13.0%.
