Lineup changes have been rare through the first six games of the Ducks’ season. Injuries have forced Ducks coach Dallas Eakins to make a couple of moves, but overall it’s been status quo so far during the coronavirus-shortened 56-game schedule. Top prospects Jamie Drysdale and Trevor Zegras haven’t been thrust into the lineup, remaining with the AHL’s San Diego Gulls for their training camp at Great Park Ice in Irvine.
Game Preview The Arizona Coyotes had a big test to the start of the 2020-21 season. They played the Vegas Golden Knights, one of the best teams in the division if not the league. And the results were mixed.
Obscure off-season acquisition Kiefer Sherwood will make his Avalanche debut Tuesday against San Jose at Ball Arena. Sherwood, a 25-year-old forward from Columbus, Ohio, was an undrafted free agent who signed with Anaheim in 2017 after playing three years at Miami-Ohio. He played 60 games with the Ducks over the past two seasons and signed a modest one-year, two-way contract with the Avalanche on Oct. 9.
