Stone Bridge names former Washington defensive tackle Kedric Golston as new football coach

Kedric Golston, who spent 11 seasons as a defensive lineman with the Washington Redskins, is Stone Bridge High School's new head football coach. The Ashburn school announced the decision Monday. Golston replaces Mickey Thompson, who retired as Stone Bridge's head coach in February. The Bulldogs won 19 district titles, 16 regional titles and three state titles in Thompson's 24 seasons. Washington selected Gholston in the sixth round of the 2006 NFL Draft out of the University of Georgia. He finished his 11-year NFL career with 274 total tackles.
