    Players on the roster bubble need to make good impressions during the NFL preseason. Dallas Cowboys rookie wideout Noah Brown apparently didn’t get that memo, though. During the third quarter of Saturday’s preseason tilt between the Cowboys and Indianapolis Colts, Brown inexplicably cheap-shotted Colts punter Rigoberto Sanchez. Check out the boneheaded play in the video below: Seriously? On the punter? This isn’t a good look for Brown, a seventh-round pick in the 2017 NFL Draft. But it might’ve been a learning experience for Sanchez, who’s battling for the opportunity to replace the recently retired Pat McAfee as the Colts punter.     Tyrone Crawford, Maliek Collins donate mattresses to needy families

    FRISCO, Texas -- Faced with shipping a king-size mattress home from Oxnard, California, Dallas Cowboys defensive end Tyrone Crawford came up with a better idea: donate it to a needy family from the area. Using Instagram and Twitter to reach out to fans in need, Crawford gifted his barely used Lull Bed mattress that was sent to him at the start of training camp to Norma Ramirez, a single mother of three boys who lives in Santa Barbara. When defensive tackle Maliek Collins got word of what Crawford was doing, he donated his mattress to Ramirez as well.     Arkansas' Broyles remembered as coach, mentor at celebration

    Frank Broyles was remembered as a championship coach, father, mentor, athletic director and guide for caregivers of those suffering from Alzheimer's disease during a memorial celebration Saturday at Arkansas' Bud Walton Arena. Broyles, who led Arkansas to its lone football national championship and later served as the athletic director for more than four decades, died Monday at the age of 92. Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones was among the speakers at the memorial. Jones and former college and NFL coach Jimmy Johnson were among the members of the undefeated 1964 Arkansas football team that was named the national champion by the Football Writers Association of America.
