Watch: Raiders' Derek Carr captivate audience discussing salvation

Oakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr is one of the best leaders in not only the NFL but in professional sports. But don’t ask Carr to take credit for the role model that he is to children at home, nor peers in the locker room — that credit, Carr says, goes to the Lord in this six-minute video where Carr opens up about his salvation. Tom Brady ranked No. 1 in NFL by fellow players

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was voted the league's top player in the NFL Network's annual top-100 poll, a ranking based on a tabulation of 902 players. What if America’s best athletes played soccer? It’s an eternal question. It has an answer. The now annual charity event run by Steve Zakuani continues to expand its player base. In 2017 it includes Oakland Raiders running back Marshawn Lynch (he also won a Super Bowl with the Seattle Seahawks) and six-time Pro Bowl receiver Chad Johnson (who also played an MLS Reserve League game with Sporting KC). Yes, those guys and Eddie Johnson are huge stars. The Sunday, July 2, 6 PM game will include a few of the greatest players in MLS history, many Sounders and even some Timbers. The NFL talents are not the only names coming to the event. A few of Steve’s friends from Portland (gross) will be at Starfire
