Through six games of the 2020 NFL season, the Tennessee Titans sport the word third-down defense in the league, as the Titans are allowing opponents a success rate of 61 percent, nearly five percent worse than the next closest team. But that mark isn’t just bad for 2020, it’s historically pitiful. According to Scott Kacsmar of the Captain Comeback blog, the Titans’ third-down conversion rate allowed is the worst in NFL history for a team after six games played since 1991.
