Grammy Winner Maren Morris Performs on ‘NCIS’ Crossover Episode

Fresh off her Grammy win, budding country star Maren Morris booked a show in the Big Easy for an NCIS: New Orleans crossover episode. On Sunday, Maren won the Grammy Award for Best Country Solo Performance, and on Tuesday, she made her TV series debut. In the show, Maren played her hit, “My Church,” in a hotel bar, while the NCIS teams worked to catch a suspected terrorist.

Maren was clearly enjoying her NCIS performance Tuesday, as she sent out tweets throughout the night, such as “I [heart] Beer,” “I Shouldn’t drink and tweet. But I’m going to,” and “Also, I’m drunk.”

The episode was a typical crossover event: Original NCIS characters McGee (Sean Murray) and Torres (WIlmer Valderrama), go to New Orleans to work with that city’s NCIS unit to stop a terror plot. The teams ultimately prevailed, and in the end, Gibbs (Mark Harmon) and Pride (Scott Bakula) hinted at another possible crossover episode. Talking to each other on the phone, Gibbs said, “Next time there’s another party, I might just pop down, surprise you, Dwayne,” and Pride responded with, “This is New Orleans, my brother. There’s always another party going on.”

NCIS: New Orleans airs Tuesdays at 10 p.m. on CBS.
