Colin Kaepernick’s Birth Mom Voices Her Opinion Of His Protest
Colin Kaepernick’s refusal to stand during the National Anthem before the Green Bay Packers and San Francisco 49ers game last week has merited an opinion from a lot of people, including his birth mother Heidi Russo, who gave the future quarterback up for adoption.
Although Russo and Kaepernick don’t have much of a relationship, it hasn’t stopped her from voicing her opinion on the 28-year-old’s non-violence stance, or writing on her Twitter bio “Birthmom of Colin”
@Kaepernick7 There’s ways to make change w/o disrespecting & bringing shame to the very country & family who afforded you so many blessings.

@Kaepernick7 The path less traveled doesn’t need to be one of destruction. #beenthere #besmarter #berespectful

Russo’s opinion of Kaepernick have merited several eye rolls and “Girl bye’s” along with a few good Samaritans GPS-ing the nearest park bench, church pew or front stoop for her to have a seat.
@Heidirn1 Have a seat. You literally have no horse in this race.
He’s a grown ass man who made a choice to stand up where you did not.

@Heidirn1 @Kaepernick7 It seem that he doesn’t want anything to do with you. So why keep sending him messages

.@Heidirn1 SERIOUSLY? Publicly scolding/shaming the adult son you didn’t raise?!? You have some bloody gall, lady. #adoption#adoptees

Along with Russo, Kaepernick’s protest have also caused legendary NFL wide receiver Jerry Rice, former San Diego Charger Rodney Harrison to speak out against his actions.
