    Scottish left-hander Robert MacIntyre wins RBC Canadian Open for his first PGA Tour title

    Robert MacIntyre, with father Dougie at his side as his caddie, held on to win the RBC Canadian Open on Sunday for his first PGA Tour title. Four strokes ahead entering the final round at Hamilton Golf and Country Club, MacIntyre shot a 2-under 68 to beat playing partner Ben Griffin by a stroke. MacIntyre finished at 16-under 264 for the breakthrough victory in his 45th career PGA Tour start.

    Rookie Liel Abada scored two goals to lead Charlotte to a 3-2 victory over Atlanta United on Sunday. Atlanta United (4-8-4) took a 1-0 lead in the 35th minute on a goal by Thiago Almada, who found the net for a fourth time this season on a left-footed shot from the center of the box. Charlotte (7-6-4) pulled even five minutes later on an own goal by Atlanta United defender Derrick Williams.
