    The police officer who arrested Scottie Scheffler at last week’s USPGA – and who subsequently accused the world No 1 of “dragging” him along by trying to accelerate away – has been disciplined for not having his body camera activated at the time of the incident.

    Stars center Roope Hintz and Oilers forward Adam Henrique both out for Game 1 of West final

    Dallas Stars front-line center Roope Hintz will still be out of the lineup for the Western Conference Final opener Thursday night against against Edmonton, which is still without forward Adam Henrique. Hintz missed the last two games of the Stars' second-round series against Colorado after leaving in the first period of Game 4 with a lower body-injury on May 13. Stars coach Pete DeBoer said during the morning skate Thursday that Hintz is still considered day to day.

    Villegas makes a leaping catch at the wall for the final out as Miami secures a spot in ACC semis

    Freshman Antonio Jimenez went 2 for 3 with a three-run homer, Edgardo Villegas made a leaping catch at the wall for the final ou t and 11th-seeded Miami secured a spot in the semifinals with an 8-7 victory over No. 2 seed Clemson on Thursday in the ACC Tournament. Miami (27-29) also beat No. 7 seed Louisville 8-5 on Tuesday to begin Pool B. Clemson (40-14) goes against the Cardinals on Friday. Fellow freshman Daniel Cuvet went the other way for a two-run double later in the inning for a four-run lead.
