  • Minnesota's losing streak extended to three games on Wednesday, despite Dario Saric getting 18 points, six boards, three assists, two 3-pointers and one steal.
Advice: Saric played 31 minutes for the second straight game, and he was efficient with 6-of-9 FGs and 4-of-4 FTs. Tom Thibodeau cited Saric as one reason for the team's improving defense in recent weeks, saying "Dario [Saric] and Taj [Gibson] have added a lot of toughness to the team." Gibson earned only 17 minutes tonight and these two continue to split PF minutes evenly, so fantasy owners can only hope the recent 30+ minutes for Saric is an actual trend. He's worth close attention while we find out.

  • Dario Saric scored 13 points (6-of-9 FG, 1-of-1 FT) with eight rebounds and two assists in 30 minutes Monday against the Warriors.
Advice: The 30 minutes played are the most for Saric since he was acquired by the Timberwolves in the Jimmy Butler trade, with the struggles of starter Taj Gibson (four points, three rebounds and one steal in 17 minutes) playing a factor in his increased playing time. Will Monday's performance lead to HC Tom Thibodeau moving Saric into the starting lineup? That remains to be seen, but at the very least he put forth a solid performance in Oakland.

  • Dario Saric scored 12 points (4-of-7 FG, 1-of-1 FT) with three 3-pointers and one assist in 20 minutes Monday against the Rockets.
Advice: Unlike Robert Covington, who's moved into the starting lineup, Saric has found it a bit more difficult to earn significant minutes since arriving in Minnesota. He's consistently hovered around the 20 minute mark with regards to playing time, but HC Tom Thibodeau will continue to stick with Taj Gibson as his starting power forward. Saric has scored in double figures in three of his last six games, but Monday may have been the worst considering his lack of production in non-scoring statistical categories.
