The New York Mets are set to add someone they hope will develop into their next superstar infielder. Sixteen-year-old Dominican shortstop Elian Peña has agreed to a deal with the Mets for $5 million, Baseball America and The New York Post reported Wednesday. The Mets have $6,261,600 to spend — and using more than 80% of their bonus pool shows how much they like Peña.
