Braves RHP Johnson goes on IL with elbow issue

Johnson's IL move is retroactive to Wednesday. To open a spot on the 40-man roster for Stephens, left-hander Angel Perdomo (elbow) was moved to the 60-day IL. Johnson, 32, is 2-1 with a 3.00 ERA in 13 relief appearances this season. In seven seasons with five clubs, he is 14-16 with a 3.98 ERA and 14 saves in 220 appearances (two starts).
