    A somber mood has been over Los Angeles during various points of the past two years as the city mourned the tragic passing of Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gianna and seven others in a helicopter accident. It rocked the Los Angeles Lakers organization, sports community and world as a whole. The incident occurred a day prior to fifth annual Justin Turner Golf Classic, which was being held at Sherwood Country Club, only a few miles from where the helicopter went into a Calabasas hillside.

    Justin Turner was unable to finish the 2021 postseason on the field with the Los Angeles Dodgers as he suffered a Grade 2 left hamstring strain in Game 4 of the National League Championship Series. Earlier this month Turner joined his wife Kourtney in running the Rose Bowl 5K. Also within the past week, he was on the field to complete one-handed fielding drills during a workout.
