    Ryan Pepiot Edges Michael Grove For 5th Spot In Dodgers Opening Day Rotation

    Ryan Pepiot was named the fifth starter for the Los Angeles Dodgers Opening Day rotation, beating out Michael Grove during a Spring Training competition that ran through the penultimate Cactus League game. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts recently indicated the battle between the right-handers was a tight race as each had performed well. Roberts added the Dodgers would be comfortable with either pitcher rounding out the rotation. Ultimately, Pepiot's showing over five starts bested that of Grove's. He went 1-1 with a 3.29 ERA and 1.39 WHIP to go along with 19 strikeouts against five walks across 13.2 innings pitched.
