Red Sox roster: Struggling reliever heads to IL, likely Saturday starter in Boston on taxi squad

After back-to-back rough outings, Red Sox reliever Isaiah Campbell is headed to the injured list. The Red Sox placed Campbell on the 15-day injured list Friday with a right shoulder impingement and recalled infielder Bobby Dalbec before Friday's series opener against the Angels. In addition, the club summoned right-hander Cooper Criswell from Triple-A Worcester; he is on the taxi squad, not the active roster, but is expected to start Saturday's game against Los Angeles.
