Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa leads fan voting for the 2023 Pro Bowl, the NFL announced in a news release Wednesday.

Tagovailoa lead all players with 138,390 votes. In the NFL’s voting update on Nov. 28, Tagovailoa trailed the Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes and Bills’ Josh Allen among AFC quarterbacks.

“That would mean the world to be recognized for something like that in a league that is really tough and the competition is really tough and guys are really good,” Tagovailoa said Wednesday. “It’d mean the world, coming into my third year and experiencing a lot of the things that I’ve had to experience and go through, that’d be awesome.”

Wide receiver Tyreek Hill (132,100 votes) ranks fourth among all players and the Dolphins rank third in total team votes.

In addition to Tagovailoa and Hill, three other Dolphins are the leading vote-getters for their positions in the AFC: fullback Alec Ingold, offensive tackle Terron Armstead and long snapper Blake Ferguson.

Fan voting for the Pro Bowl ends on Dec. 15 and counts toward one-third of the total vote, along with player and coach voting.

Instead of an actual game, the 2023 Pro Bowl will be a weeklong celebration of the league’s top players with AFC vs. NFC competition with a new format that spotlights flag football.
