Meet your candidates running for office in Petersburg tomorrow
PETERSBURG— The Southern Virginia Regional Chamber will be hosting an event tomorrow evening for citizens to get to know their council candidates, congressional candidates, and school board candidates.
The event will be held at the Petersburg Library on Sept. 14 at 6pm. Doors open at 5pm.
In a separate event, Ward 5 city council candidates Howard Myers and Michelle Murrills will take part in another forum to share their visions and answer questions from the public. This event will be held on Thursday, Sept. 15 from 6 to 8pm at the library.
The list of candidates running who have been invited tomorrow are as follows:

Ward 1: Marlow Jones, Chioma Adaku
Ward 3: Sam Parham, Michael Moore-Storrs
Ward 5: Howard Myers, Michelle Murrills, and Lois Long
Ward 7: Arnold Westbrook, Elsie Jarmon
Virginia's 4th Congressional District Election
Aston McEachin (D), Leon Benjamin Sr. (R)
School Board
Ward 1: Steven Piece Sr.
Ward 3: Kenneth Pritchett
Ward 5: Unique Luna, E. Joyce Proctor
Ward 7: Ronnie Watson, Adrian Dance Sr.
