Two men dead, another injured in separate shootings in Baltimore over Christmas weekend

Two men were killed and another was injured in separate shooting incidents throughout Christmas weekend, Baltimore Police said.

At about 6:39 p.m. on Saturday, Southern District patrol officers responded to a shooting call in the 1200 block of Hollins St. just west of downtown, where they found a man suffering from gunshot wounds, the news release said. He died at the hospital.

In a separate incident Saturday, a man was transported to a hospital after suffering life-threatening gunshot wounds, the department said in a different release.

At about 8:09 p.m., Southeast District patrol officers responded to an assault call in the 3400 block of E. Baltimore St., where they found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the body, the release said. The address is in the Baltimore Highlands neighborhood.

Police said Sunday morning that the man died at the hospital.

Just after 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, Eastern District patrol officers were sent to the 2400 block of Greenmount Ave. for a ShotSpotter alert.

When officers arrived in the Barclay neighborhood, they found a 22-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound in the 2200 block of Greenmount Ave.

He was transported to an area hospital and police did not disclose his condition.
