Man crashes, exits car, goes on St. Paul highway and is fatally struck

A 25-year-old man died in St. Paul early Saturday when he struck a guardrail, exited his car, went onto the highway and was struck by passing vehicles, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
Donald Scott Hutton, of St. Paul, was heading east on Interstate 94 at Minnesota 280 when he went into the median. After he ran into a traffic lane and into the side of a passing vehicle, he was knocked down, the State Patrol said. Multiple vehicles struck Hutton.
Hutton was pronounced dead before being taken to a hospital.
The State Patrol is investigating.
