Infant shot, adults killed in Bunce Road shooting Tuesday evening

Two adults were killed and an infant struck by gunfire in a shooting on Bunce Road on Tuesday evening.

According to the Fayetteville Police Department, the shooting was reported just before 8:30 p.m. in the 1100 block of Bunce Road. When officers arrived on scene, they found the bodies of two men and the injured child. The child was taken to the hospital, the release said. The names of those involved were not immediately released.

Bunce Road was closed in both directions as officers investigated. Motorists were advised to find an alternate route.

Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department’s Homicide Unit have assumed the investigation, the release said.
