    Britain's King Charles III will resume public duties next week after cancer treatment, palace says

    King Charles III will resume his public duties next week following treatment for cancer, Buckingham Palace announced Friday. Charles took a break from public appearances almost three months ago to focus on his treatment for an undisclosed type of cancer. The palace said Charles would make a public visit to a cancer treatment center on Tuesday in the first of several appearances he will make in coming weeks.

    Earnings for Big Oil backpaddle as natgas prices tumble

    U.S. and European oil companies reported weaker first quarter results on Friday due to a sharp drop in natural gas prices compared with a year ago. In the U.S., Exxon Mobil missed Wall Street earnings targets on larger-than-forecast drop in natural gas earnings and Chevron beat tempered expectations with better-than-expected U.S. oil production. French oil major TotalEnergies also slightly beat analysts forecasts as good refining margins partially offset a steep drop in profits from natural gas.
