The Alabama men’s basketball program may not be the NBA pipeline like Duke or Kansas, but the Tide has produced its fair share of talent to the league over the years.
As we countdown to the hours until the start of the 2023 NBA draft, we continue to take a deep dive into what to expect from this year’s draft and also reflect on what Alabama has done in previous drafts.
Brandon Miller and Noah Clowney will both likely be selected in the first round on Thursday night adding to Alabama’s NBA draft pedigree.
While we await NBA Commissioner, Adam Silver to open up the 2023 NBA draft, let’s take a look back at every Alabama player to be selected in the NBA since 2000.
2022: J.D. Davison
J.D. Davison was selected by the Boston Celtics as the No. 53 overall selection in the 2022 NBA draft.
2021: Josh Primo
Josh Primo was selected by the San Antonio Spurs as the No. 12 overall selection in the 2021 NBA draft.
2021: Herb Jones
Herb Jones was selected by the New Orleans Pelicans as the No. 35 overall selection in the 2021 NBA draft.
2020: Kira Lewis Jr.
Kira Lewis Jr. was selected by the New Orleans Pelicans as the No. 13 overall selection in the 2020 NBA draft.
2018: Collin Sexton
Collin Sexton was selected by the Cleveland Cavaliers as the No. 8 overall selection in the 2018 NBA draft.
2008: Richard Hendrix
Richard Hendrix was selected by the Golden State Warriors as the No. 49 overall selection in the 2008 NBA draft.
2007: Jermareo Davidson
Jermareo Davidson was selected by the Golden State Warriors (traded to the then Charlotte Bobcats) as the No. 36 overall selection in the 2007 NBA draft.
2003: Mo Williams
Mo Williams was selected by the Utah Jazz as the No. 47 overall selection in the 2003 NBA draft.
2002: Rod Grizzard
Rod Grizzard was selected by the Washington Wizards as the No. 38 overall selection in the 2002 NBA draft.
2001: Gerald Wallace
Gerald Wallace was selected by the Sacramento Kings as the No. 25 overall selection in the 2001 NBA draft.
