Share your thoughts: In the third year of COVID-19, how are things going?

Welcome to the first monthly discussion question. This is a forum for you to share your thoughts and engage in a friendly debate about a subject of local interest. Today we start with COVID-19. Despite rising infections and continual pleas from public health and government officials, just 56% of Monroe County residents are fully vaccinated, as reported by Indiana's vaccine dashboard.

Reports of COVID-19 infections have skyrocketed in the past few weeks, with Indiana reporting tens of thousands of cases following the Christmas and New Years holidays.

Monroe County is currently reporting 468 cases per 100,000 residents. The county's mask mandate will remain in place until cases drop below 50 per 100,000 residents.
