A 29-year-old Deville woman is being accused of rape, human trafficking, sexual battery and other crimes against children, according to the Rapides Parish Sheriff's Office.

Danielle Sober Trapp initially was arrested on warrants on April 17 after an investigation had been opened with a complaint filed against her on April 4, according to a news release.

She was booked into the Rapides Parish Detention Center #1 on four counts of obscenity and two counts of sexual battery. Her bail was set at $30,000, and she was released the next day.

Two of the obscenity counts involve displaying sexual materials, and the other two involve public sexual acts, according to the sheriff's office.

The complaint against Trapp involved a juvenile, but more alleged crimes and victims were identified as the investigation progressed, it reads. The victims were interviewed at the Rapides Children's Advocacy Center.

She was arrested again on April 28 and booked on charges of first-degree rape of a juvenile younger than 13, human trafficking, two counts of sexual battery and 31 counts of contributing to the delinquency of juveniles.

She remains in jail with bail set at $528,000.

An investigation is continuing, and detectives ask anyone with information about Trapp to contact Detective Susan Mosley at 318-641-6000.
