What percentage of COVID-19 tests are coming back positive in northern Ohio?

Many of the counties in northern Ohio have COVID-19 positivity rates between 20% and 35%, with the state's rate at nearly 30%.

The positivity rate is the percentage of COVID-19 tests coming back positive out of all COVID-19 tests given.

Ohio's seven-day moving average positivity rate is 29% as of Jan. 5, according to data from the Ohio Department of Health.

Near the beginning of the pandemic, the World Health Organization recommended the positivity rate should be 5% or lower for at least 14 days before governments considered reopening.
