Komets' Ryan Fanti called to NHL's Edmonton Oilers

Goaltender Ryan Fanti, who played for the Komets the past two seasons, has been called from Fort Wayne to the NHL's Edmonton Oilers for their playoff series against the Los Angeles Kings. Fanti is able to play on an emergency basis. Fanti was 9-6-2 with a 2.75 goals-against average, a .915 save percentage and two shutouts in 17 games, after he underwent offseason hip surgery. The Komets' season ended April 14 and since then, six players have been called to the American Hockey League – Carl Berglund, Jake Chiasson and Ethan De Jong and Connor Corcoran with Bakersfield, Brett Brochu with Manitoba and Harrison Rees with Hartford.
