The Rangers finished off a sweep of the Washington Capitals with a 4-2 victory in Game 4 of their first-round series Sunday night at Capital One Arena.
As the Rangers prepare for Game 3, their first of the series on the road, the Washington Capitals could be getting some reinforcements on the back end. According to Tom Gulitti, both Rasmus Sandin and Nick Jensen were full participants in the Capitals morning skate. Sandin, who the Capitals acquired from Toronto at last year's trade deadline (in an exchange involving Erik Gustafsson ironically), has been out of commission for the Capitals for the last couple of weeks.
Washington Capitals defenseman Nick Jensen was taken off the ice on a stretcher during the first period after being hit by Tampa Bay Lightning forward Michael Eyssimont. This incident happened at 18:29 of the first period when Jensen tried to dump the puck into the offensive zone.
