New York Jets linebacker David Harris is expected to play in the team's season opener against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sept. 11 after leaving Saturday's preseason game with a shoulder injury, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Harris, who underwent X-rays on Saturday and an MRI on Sunday, suffered a bruised shoulder that will likely take two weeks to heal, according to ESPN's Rich Cimini. Harris sustained the injury on the final play from scrimmage in the first half, according to Cimini. He was buried under a pile on a run play and was immediately taken to the locker room. "We definitely don't want to lose Dave," cornerback Buster Skrine said, according to Cimini. "That's our defensive leader."

Week 3 of the preseason features the all-important dress rehearsal game. If this was any indicator of what the Cincinnati Bengals will be in 2016, we're in for a fun year...at least as long as guys stay healthy. Outside of some notable injuries throughout the night, this was as good of a performance as you could ask from the starters on a Bengals team that looks ready for another run at the postseason.
