Marshall was noticeably out of shape during Denver's Friday morning workout, taking a knee after just about every route he ran, the Denver Post reports. Recommendation: After the offseason that Marshall has had, you would think he'd be a little more motivated to prove the critics wrong and show up to camp looking sharp. "I think he's a little out of shape," quarterback Jay Cutler said. "I mean, he needs to run a little bit." Marshall's conditioning will obviously improve as he gets a few more practices under his belt, but this was not a good way to start. A decision on his possible suspension from the commissioner's office should be handed down as early as next week. |

Marshall met with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell in New York last week concerning his string of off the field legal troubles. The news of the meeting was first reported in Thursday's edition of The Denver Post. Advice: Marshall attended the meeting with attorney Harvey Steinberg and Broncos receiver Rod Smith. Marshall has been arrested three times in the past year. He's due in court in September for a trial on a drunken driving arrest on October 2007. |

WR Brandon Marshall had his arraignment for a June 12 traffic ticket postponed to Aug. 12, according to the Denver Post. Marshall is in danger of losing his driver's license after he was cited June 12 for straying from his lane and driving without a valid license or proof of insurance. Marshall allegedly was driving his black Hummer and using the shoulder on I-25 to pass cars.
In Colorado, a license can be suspended for 12 violation points in a 12-month span or 18 in 24 months. According to the Rocky Mountain News, Marshall could rack up to 10 points for the latest traffic violation, and could be hit with 18 more pending the outcome of an October, 2007 arrest for drunken driving.
On the positive side, Marshall is expected to be medically cleared to participate in training camp after recovering from a gash to his right forearm in March. |
