    The Texans 2022 Draft class is at the doorstep of that third NFL season. Through two seasons, Houston hasn't come close to the return that they had hoped for when they selected five players in the first 75 selections of that year's draft. In general manager Nick Caserio's second draft with the Texans, he took cornerback Derek Stingley Jr. (No. 3 overall) and offensive guard Kenyon Green (No. 15) in the first round.

    The Texans have two stud starters at linebacker for their base 4-2-5 defense in Azeez Al-Shaair and Christians Harris. Al-Shaair is a new addition at the position after the departures of Denzel Perryman and Blake Cashman, while Harris blossomed in his second year in the NFL with Houston. Behind the top duo are eight other linebackers set to compete to start as the third linebacker in 4-3-4 looks and be the top backups to Harris and Al-Shaair.

The former Alabama standout is among the current and former players set to announce pick in Rounds 2 and 3, along with Troy Vincent, the NFL's executive vice president of football operations, and wrestling icon Ric Flair. The Nature Boy is scheduled to announce the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' third-round pick at No. 92.
