    Star Wars: The Acolyte Disney+ The Disney era of Star Wars finds itself in something of a creative rut. Having seemingly given up on new movies, it has retreated into nostalgia: safe small-screen bets featuring familiar characters such as Obi-Wan Kenobi and Boba Fett. Few of which have inspired critical acclaim (Andor is an honourable exception). The Acolyte, however, represents a reset – an entirely new story featuring an entirely new cast of characters.

    Volvo Cars' May sales rise 13%

    Volvo Cars' sales rose 13% in May from a year earlier to 68,034 cars, driven mainly by a 31% jump in Europe and helped by strong performance for its fully electric model EX30, the group said on Wednesday. Sweden-based Volvo Cars, which is majority-owned by China's Geely Holding, said in a statement that sales of fully electric cars were up 37% to account for 48% of group sales globally.

The US president will also deliver a high-profile speech and hold a formal state visit with France’s Emmanuel Macron.
