All three of the major indexes (^DJI, ^GSPC, ^XIC) jumped after the April employment report showed the US added 175,000 jobs last month, far fewer than the 240,000 economists had been predicting. The unemployment rate ticked higher to 3.9% and average hourly earnings rose less than expected. Investors are also still digesting earnings from the likes of Apple (AAPL), Cloudflare (NET), Block (SQ), and Expedia Group (EXPE).
