    Giants first baseman LaMonte Wade Jr. will miss at least four weeks with a left hamstring strain, the team announced Tuesday. Wade, who is batting .333 with two home runs this season, has been a regular at the top of the Giants’ lineup. “He’s as good a left-handed hitter that there is in the league right now,” manager Bob Melvin said.

    Former President Donald Trump is on trial in New York City, where he is facing felony charges related to a 2016 hush money payment to adult film actress Stormy Daniels. Trump last April pleaded not guilty to a 34-count indictment charging him with falsifying business records in connection with a hush money payment his then-attorney Michael Cohen made to Daniels in order to boost his electoral prospects in the 2016 presidential election. Addressing the question regarding whether Trump was reimbursing Michael Cohen or paying Cohen for legal work, prosecutor Josh Steinglass said of Trump, "It's just inconceivable that he would be so involved in buying these women's silence and then stick his head in the sand when it comes to Cohen's reimbursement."
