CT All-State basketball player Anthony Nimani returns to Platt to sign Division I NLI with Cornell

Anthony Nimani's basketball road has taken him to stardom in his backyard to a remote corner of the Berkshire Mountains and, soon enough, to the halls of the Ivy League in Ithaca, N.Y. The all-time scorer in Platt boys basketball history returned to his high school alma mater Thursday to formally sign his National Letter of Intent with Cornell University. Accepted on early decision, Nimani committed to Cornell not long after departing for The Berkshire School in Sheffield, Mass. last September to put in a college prep year. "That's where it all started for me: Platt," Nimani said on the eve of the signing.
