Psychologically, there is a major difference between entering the offseason with a long losing streak hanging over your program and entering the offseason after an upset victory in the conference tournament.
After going 0-for-January and 0-for-February, Colorado State snapped a school-record 17-game slide with a 68-63 victory over Wyoming in the Mountain West play-in game.
The win didn't exactly salvage the season—the Rams lost the next day to BYU—but it did remind a team loaded with young players and its first-year head coach of what it feels like to be on the sunny side of a final score.
