After being a contender during its first two seasons in the Atlantic Coast Conference, Boston College knew this would be a rebuilding year.
And it was. The Eagles went 14-17 and finished tied with North Carolina State for last place in the 12-team conference.
Boston College lost 12 of its final 13 regular-season games before upsetting Maryland in the opening round of the Atlantic Coast Conference tournament, dashing the Terrapins' hopes of getting a bid to the NCAA Tournament. However, the Eagles showed how far they were away from the conference's best teams by losing to Clemson by 34 points one night later.
Boston College did have one of the premier players in the conference in junior guard Tyrese Rice, who averaged 21.0 points and 5.0 assists a game. ...More |
