NBA - Sports Rumors

“LeBronBefore July 1, there will be lots of rumors floating around about where every one of the seemingly seven billion prospective NBA free agents will end up, particularly LeBron James(notes), Dwyane Wade(notes), Chris Bosh(notes), and Amare' Stoudemire.

The Toronto Sun has it that the Miami Heat are hoping to re-sign Dwyane Wade and have enough dough left over to snag both LeBron James and Chris Bosh. That little plan has apparently not just been a little fantasy in the team's front offices. The three players have supposedly been in on the concept and have talked about the possibility. James and Wade are certainly pals and would like to play together again if the Cavs somehow don't satisfy the wishes of James.

Still, it is very hard to imagine James leaving the Cleveland Cavaliers, though it is very easy to imagine Bosh leaving the Toronto Raptors.

Here we go again, another story about LeBron leaving Cleveland. Don't you people have anything else to write about? There are going to be a ton of disappointed people when LeBron resigns in Cleveland. Get a life, people! Oh well, at least this one isn't about the hapless Knicks!

It's nice to dream about it but it ain't going to happen as much as I want it to happen. But knowing Pat Riley he'll give it a shot.

Does whoever is coming up with this BS even understand the NBA salary cap??? This is literally impossible unless they are going to basically play with a roster of NBDL players, but even then EVERYONE else on the Heat would have to be a free agent and their salaries coming off the books.

Lakersgirl, if garnett and Ray allen automatically made the celtics a champion, u would be on crack to think bosh, wade and james would not automatically bring a champ.

This may or may not happen but it won't last, to much ego there.LeBron wants the ball all the time just like Wade. And Bosh is just a not going to make anybody a champion.I don't think it will work out there is only ball.If LeBron wants to win a championship he needs only look in the mirror the Cavs done quite a bit to make him happy. He has 2 of the best centers in the game and a great supporting cast.So if he doesn't win this year he will probably leave because the grass is not as green in Cleveland .If the so called chosen one can't get done with what he has here he should go where they have less.I'M JUST SO SICK OF HEARING ABOUT WHAT WILL HAPPEN IN THE SUMMER OF 2010.LET THE SEASON PLAY OUT AND WAIT FOR ALL OF THEIR DECISIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GO CAVS

post 18, then if they get booted from the playoffs....what would be your excuse?
not saying they cant win a championship together, it solely depends on if theyll be willing to put their egos aside and play as a team

@ MICHAEL...Great post and mostly correct....It could happen but not likely it will....even if they renounced all of their free agents except Wade, the league mandates TWELVE players be carried on roster in the off season or the team is assigned salary (rookie minimum-about 1/2M) for each vacant spot....that makes approx 23M for Wade and 11 empty roster spots, leaving about 30M for Bosh and LeBron to split....let's say this happens...who do they complete the roster with? D league is an option but so are minimum contracts ($473,604-$1,352,181 for next year, depending on years in the league)...No matter where a team is cap wise, they can sign as many of these as they have roster spots open as long as they're willing to pay the tax if they cross the threshold.....Don't forget also that for the regular season, teams MUST carry no less than THIRTEEN players under contract...don't get your hopes up Miami fans....not gonna happen

    LakerGirl.............
I don't see any of those guys having egos when on the court. LeBron is in the top 10 in assits every year as a SF. Same with Wade who is also a scorer. Bosh never lets his ego get i nthe way.
The whole ego thing is overrated.............
Many Laker fans said that LeBron and Shaq would not do well together because of their egos. How has that worked out?
