Charlotte Bobcats shooting guard Raja Bell(notes) tore a ligament in his left wrist a few days ago but he might go ahead and try to not have surgery, according to the Charlotte Observer. The 33-year-old is in his last year contractually with Charlotte so he might not want to sacrifice the bulk of this year to recovering from surgery. The recovery from surgery will reportedly take four months.
Bell is supposedly waiting to hear what a specialist in Chicago says about the hand. Meanwhile, he's wrapping up the hand and practicing layups and three pointers. What ligament tear?
Bell is saying he's split down the middle between the obligation he's made to himself, his family, and his career and the obligation he's made to the team. "Being a competitor and a businessman, I'm kind of split down the middle," he said. "Hopefully this (specialist) comes back, tells me I'm fine to play, and then I don't have to make a decision.''

all you guys are right and raja bell is clearly an idiot..
it's time to take care of the health... and u still have 2-3 months left to show other teams that you can still play at the higher level... first thing first and you can still secure NBA contract....
and this is not the obligation he's made to the team.. If i were GM of Bobcats, i want him healed completely, if i were his family, i want him healed and most importantly, if i were him, i want myself healed and ready for next season.....
