Carter, now 47, returned to Toronto in the first round of the 2006-07 playoffs with the New Jersey Nets, a couple of years after he famously broke up with the Raptors and got traded. Toronto finished that season with the third-best record in the East and hosted the first two games against the Nets at what was then known as the Air Canada Centre (and which some had dubbed the Air Carter Centre when the star was playing with the Raptors).
