News and Notes
May 9 Allen, who was held scoreless on 0-of-4 shooting in Boston's Game 1 win over Cleveland, didn't score again in the first half on Thursday, but chipped in 16 in the second half as the Celtics romped over the Cavaliers 89-73 in Game 2 of their Eastern Conference semifinal series.

Advice: Dating back to Game 7 against Atlanta, Allen is averaging 7.7 points on 26.9 percent shooting. But with the stifling defense the Celtics play, it's no longer incumbent upon Allen to put up big offensive numbers. After Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett, a big night from Allen is a bonus.

May 9 Allen, who was scoreless in Game 1, scored 16 points on 4-of-10 shooting Thursday night in Boston's victory over Cleveland in Game 2 of their Eastern Conference semifinal playoff series.

Recommendation: Allen went six straight quarters without scoring a point, but was aggressive in the second half Thursday night, taking it to the rim and getting to the free-throw line (7-of-8 FT). Boston leads the series 2-0 with Game 3 set for Cleveland on Saturday.
