If the Milwaukee Bucks didn't have bad luck, they wouldn't have any luck at all. Ajax was taken with the 36th overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft as a player who fits the mold new head coach Adrian Griffin was looking for.
Jackson, an Amsterdam native and Albany Academy graduate who spent his first two collegiate seasons at UAlbany, is transferring to Siena. Jackson — whose older brother, Andre Jackson Jr., is a rookie with the NBA's Milwaukee Bucks — entered the NCAA transfer portal in March following the end of UAlbany's season. A hand injury suffered at a practice in late January ended up spelling the end of Jackson's sophomore season. UAlbany's defense struggled without Jackson — its best on-ball defender — and allowed opponents to average 82.6 points per game in the 11 games he missed at the end of the year.
The Bucks' young players wore bright-yellow practice jerseys last week and simulated the frenetic attack of the Indiana Pacers.
