Tigers put Shelby Miller on IL, Ryan Vilade optioned; Beau Brieske called up from Toledo

One move was expected. The Tigers before the game Monday optioned utility man Ryan Vilade to Triple-A Toledo and called up Matt Manning, who got the start in the series opener against Marlins. Also, right-handed reliever Shelby Miller was placed on the 15-day injured list with ulnar-nerve inflammation. Right-hander Beau Brieske was called up from Toledo to take his spot in the bullpen.
