Close plays at plate don't go Tigers way in 6-4 loss to Diamondbacks

Two plays at home plate in the seventh inning, both went against the Tigers and the Arizona Diamondbacks were able to salvage the final game of the three-game series against the Tigers Sunday, 6-4 at Chase Field. The Tigers had just tied the game 4-4 in the top of the seventh, but the inning ended with Kerry Carpenter being thrown out at the plate. In the bottom half of the inning, pinch-hitter Randal Grichuk led off with a single off lefty reliever Tyler Holton and Christian Walker greeted Alex Faedo with another single.
