Player Notes
Joe Panik hit a walk-off sacrifice fly in Wednesday's 3-2 win over the Dodgers.

Advice: Panik hit the sacrifice fly off of J.P. Howell with the bases loaded and one out in the ninth inning. The Dodgers played five men in the infield, hoping for a Panik grounder that could get them out of the inning, but he hit the ball in the air and sent the Giants home with the win. The game was as good as a late April game can be, with Madison Bumgarner and Clayton Kershaw matching each other almost pitch-for-pitch, a dramatic pinch-hit home run by Alex Guerrero to tie the game at 2-2 in the seventh and Panik's ultimate nail in the coffin to end the contest. Game-winner aside, Panik's been hitting well of late and has seen his slash-line rise to .281/.328/.368 thanks to a recent hot streak.

Joe Panik went 3-for-5 with an RBI as the Giants topped the Diamondbacks 4-1 on Saturday.

Advice: Panik had a dreadful spring and a poor first week and a half, but he's come alive with eight hits in the first three games of the series against Arizona. That's raised his average from .176 to .286.
